Manheim Township, Pa.--

Star Wars hit theaters Thursday night. It is expected to be one of the most successful movies in history, breaking many records along the way.

"It's going to be a moment in movie history," Penn Cinema managing partner Penn Ketchum said.

Penn Cinema threw a celebration for the event. They had lights, music, food trucks, and a photo booth for fans to enjoy the festivities.

"All 15 theaters are sold out we will have over 2,000 people here," Ketchum said.

Penn Cinema started showing the film at 7 p.m. Some fans were in line before 8 in the morning.

"I've been here since 7:45," Darin Herzig said.

He and his twin brother David were just a couple that showed their excitement for the movie.

"Can't wait to see this movie. I've been waiting for years for this movie to come out," Matthew Slagle said.

"I'm really excited and think this is going to be the best film yet," Caleb Kauffman said.
