SOUTH LEBANON TWP, Lebanon County , Pa. — A woman walking on the Lebanon County Rail Trail was attacked by a man this afternoon who attempted to sexually assault her. It happened around 1:39pm, on the trail about a quarter mile north of East Evergreen Road. The victim says she was walking in the area of a side trail that leads to the Midway Church of the Brethren when a man ran past her in the opposite direction. A short time later, she turned around. The man she saw earlier attacked her from behind near the side trail. He grabbed her around the neck and began to choke her. The victim says the man said, “This is a rape. Just cooperate.”

The victim fought back, managing to break his grip and punch him in the face. The attacker ran from the trail in the direction of the Midway Church.

Police searched the area and did not find the attacker. He is described as being a white male, in his mid 20’s to early 30’s, clean shaven with short brown hair, wearing a black leather coat and blue blue sweatpants.
