CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Chambersburg Police Chief David Arnold will retire next year.  Chief Arnold recently gave Borough officials notice that he will retire effective January 8, 2016.

The chief retires after a total of 31 years in law enforcement, 24 years with the York City Police Department and 7 years at the Chambersburg Police Department.

“It is my belief that the Chambersburg Police Department is staffed with professional, experienced and caring officers who take pride in providing Police Protection to Borough residents and visitors. They are one of the finest police departments in Central Pennsylvania and it has been my honor to have worked for this organization.” said Arnold.

Arnold also says that he plans to stay in Chambersburg and consider some work and volunteer opportunities.
