MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - The men and women use to saving lives in Mechanicsburg saved Christmas for a family. Through the school district the Mechanicsburg Fire Department found out a mother of four boys was in need. The department collected monetary donations, went shopping and then, delivered presents to the family.
The department tries their best to get things the kids want and need. Each child opened one gift on Wednesday and the rest will be opened on Christmas.
"Thank you. It's not enough (to say). Thank you," said Regina Burns.
The department has been doing "Operation Christmas" for two years and plans to do it again next year.
