NEXT SYSTEM QUICK TO MOVE IN
We start out Wednesday dry and temperatures remain above average. Our next system arrives late in the day. While most of the energy skirts by to our south, we still expect to get clipped with light evening showers. Clouds will thicken during the day, holding temperatures in the lower to mid 50s.
A COOLER PATTERN
Upper level trough approaches for Thursday night, however, high pressure brings a nice day with a mix of clouds and sunshine. New Year’s Eve looks dry, but chilly for celebrating the arrival of 2016!!

NewYearsEve_Evening Forecast

Highs will still reach the upper 40s but will be falling into Friday as the trough swings farther east. Much chillier air will be reinforced across the area, as several upper level disturbances rotate through for the weekend. Highs will be held to the 30s for Friday into Sunday. Strong upper level energy combined with northwesterly winds coming across the Great Lakes, may produce snow flurries for Saturday. Next week, the more seasonable temperatures remain for Monday and Tuesday.
