Middletown abduction suspect caught in Louisiana

A Middletown man accused of abducting a woman and taking her to Louisiana over the Christmas holiday has been arrested in Louisiana.

Noah Cortez Thomas, 35, was captured earlier this week without incident in Lake Charles, Louisiana, according to Chris Corougen, a Middletown spokesman.

Corougen said arrangements are being made to have Thomas extradited back to Pennsylvania.

The victim was found by the Calcasieu Parish sheriff’s office and was being treated for injuries sustained in an assault. The woman suffered contusions to her face and had a swollen eye, police said.

The victim  is now back in Pennsylvania.
