Dillsburg, Pa. - Many spots in Pennsylvania do not drop a traditional ball on New Years. As a symbol of pride for their founder Matthew Dill, in Dillsburg, they drop a pickle. In Lower Allen Township, in celebration of the Yellow Breeches Creek and a play on words, they drop a pair of 5X4 yellow pants also known as britches. In Lebanon, their "ball" is 16 foot, 250 pound piece of Bologna.  In Mechanicsburg, since 2003, they have dropped a 10.5 foot wrench! Those items are just the beginning. Pennsylvania drops more unique things than any other state! For more click here.
