One man injured after shooting in Lancaster Wednesday night

LANCASTER TWP, Pa- One person was injured after he was shot outside Shenk’s Cafe in Lancaster.

According to police, a witness reported to police that she heard gunshots around 10:30p.m. Wednesday in the area of the 500 block of E. Chestnut Street.

Upon investigation, police found that the shooting occurred outside  Shenk’s Cafe.

The victim was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle police said.

When officers arrived at the hospital the learned that a 24-year-old male was shot in the upper torso.

The victim was unable to provide many details at this time police said  but indicated he had engaged in a brief conversation with someone inside of the bar prior to the shooting, and when the victim went outside, he was shot.
