Bouncer shot while trying to break up fight outside Harrisburg bar

HARRISBURG, Pa.–A bouncer was injured during a shooting outside of a Harrisburg bar early Monday, according to police reports.

Officers responded to Double D’s Sports Bar & Grill located along the 500 block of South 19th Street around 2 a.m. for a reported shooting.

The 34-year-old bouncer told police he was shot as he attempted to break up a fight outside the bar. The people involved in the fight fled the area before officers arrived at the scene, police said.

The bouncer suffered a gunshot wound to his foot and is expected to recover.

So far, no arrests have been made.
