LANCASTER, Pa. – A quick arrest in a strong armed robbery allegedly committed by male juveniles, 16 years old and 14 years old, in Lancaster City over the weekend.

City police responded at about 2:57 pm Saturday to the area of the 400 block of North Reservoir Street, near the J.P. McCaskey High School, for a reported robbery.  Officers learned that the victims, two boys, ages 14 and 15 years old had been walking in the area.

One of the victim’s was put in a headlock and a suspect stole some store gift cards from the victim’s pockets. The suspects also demanded the victim remove his sneakers which he did. The suspects then ran away with the sneakers and the gift cards while one victim went into a nearby business to call for help.

Officer quickly located and stopped two suspects at Broad and Walnut Streets, both were identified by the victims and the stolen items were recovered.

Both suspects were charged with Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and Simple Assault before juvenile probation.
