Teen charged in last homicide of 2015 in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. – City police charged a 17 year old juvenile in the last reported homicide of 2015 in Harrisburg.  Shortly after 2 pm Thursday, detectives arrested Jonmere Pryor in the shooting death of 17 year old Claywaun Bender.

The shooting happen at about 8:30 pm on Wednesday, December 30th in the first block of South 17th Street. Upon arriving on the scene police found Bender suffering from a single gunshot wound.  Bender later died at Hershey Medical Center.

During the investigation two firearms and heroin were recovered.  Police say the case was made more difficult to investigate because Pryor had allegedly tampered with the crime scene.

Charges against Pryor include Criminal Homicide, Tampering with Evidence, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin and Carrying a Firearm without a License.
