Ephrata woman arrested for allegedly driving with a baby on her lap

EPHRATA, Pa- Police have arrested a woman after she was allegedly driving with her baby on her lap.

Police responded to a car accident around 10:15 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bethany Road and East Main Street in Ephrata borough.

They found Erika Rizzon, 32, struck a curb at the intersection.

Witnesses told police that at the time of the crash Rizzon was holding an eight month old infant in her lap.

Rizzon was arrested for DUI and endangering the welfare of children. She was transported to Lancaster County Central for arraignment.
