SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa.–The death of a Springettsbury man who died following an assault at a York County pub has been ruled a homicide.

The York County coroner’s office said Tuesday that 61-year-old Thomas Reinoehl’s cause of death was due to blunt force injuries to the head and neck. The manner of death was homicide.

Reinoehl died Sunday at York Hospital after he was assaulted at Barracuda’s Seafood Pub in Springettsbury Township on Saturday night, according to the criminal complaint.

Authorities learned that before the assault–Reinoehl was speaking with 31-year-old Rudolph Bandjough’s fiance at the bar, court documents state. As Reinoehl walked away, Bandjough followed him to the front of the bar and forcefully pushed him from behind, investigators said. Reinoehl fell and struck his head on the ATM machine.

Bandjough, of York, was arrested Sunday and with aggravated assault and simple assault. He remains in York County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.

It is unclear if police plan to file additional charges against Bandjough.
