LANCASTER, Pa. — A Leola man who sexually abused three three young girls will serve up to 26 years in state prison. Steven Anthony Prater recently pleaded guilty to numerous felony counts of sex abuse against the girls in 2014.
Prater, 35, formerly of Bradford Drive in Upper Leacock Township, will serve 13 to 26 years and must register his whereabouts under Megan’s Law for the rest of his life as part of the plea deal.
Lancaster County Judge Margaret Miller also ordered Prater to have no contact with the girls. The victims are the children of Prater’s former paramour. They were aged 7, 9 and 11 years when the abuse began.
Prater took photographs during some of the assaults.
He confessed the abuse to East Lampeter Township police.
