In police custody; Hydiea Banks

YORK, Pa- A 16-year-old girl accused of shooting an 18-year-old man in the head this past weekend is in police custody.

York City Police along with the help of  US Marshals, arrested Hydiea Banks on Wednesday shortly after 8:00 a.m.  on the West End of York City.

Banks was wanted for attempted homicide from a shooting that occurred along the 300 block of Girard Avenue just before 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Banks location was confirmed by several tips received by the York City Police Department.

Police say Banks actively resisted  arrest and the gun that was used in the shooting was found in her custody within her reach.

Banks is being charged as an adult police said.
