York, PA — Now that it finally feels like winter is here in Central PA, you may find yourself waking up to a frosty windshield.
If you’ve got a remote car starter -fantastic! But for the rest of us, it’s time to grab the scraper. Or is it?
We’ve got a quick and easy hack to get your windshield road ready without breaking out the scraper.
The solution? A mixture of water and rubbing alcohol.
DO NOT just pour water on your windshield, warm or not you run the risk of cracking the glass because of temperature shock.
But a solution of one-third water and two-thirds rubbing alcohol will do the trick. Rubbing alcohol has a freezing point of 127 degrees below zero, meaning it’ll never freeze on your windshield.
Just pour one part water and two parts rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, and keep it in your car.
