Woman jailed for stealing wallet containing $345

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Honey Brook, Chester County woman is behind bars charged with stealing a wallet from a pizza shop employee.

On Tuesday, January 12, the employee contacted New Holland Police to report that her wallet was taken while she was working at Brooklyn Pizza 800 E. Main Street.

Investigators viewed  video from the restaurant’s security system which showed 48 year old Kathleen Daugherty taking the wallet.  A New Holland Police Officer went to a home in Honey Brook where Daugherty was staying. During an interview Daugherty admitted that she took the wallet which contained $345 cash.

Police obtained a warrant on Wednesday charging Daugherty with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition. Following arraignment she was committed to Lancaster County Prison.
