EVENING AND OVERNIGHT SHOWERS
Rain spreads in from the south this evening. The heaviest rain will be overnight as an area of low pressure moves up and off the Mid-Atlantic coast. A cold front will sweep through by morning ending the rain. Low temperatures should remain well enough above freezing so no worries for any freezing rain. The area may pick up anywhere from .25” to .50” of rainfall. Sunshine will mix in and out of the clouds during the afternoon.
Highs will warm to the low 40s. The breeze picks up out of the west-northwest 10-15 mph. Overnight, it’s cold with lows in the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies. The second half of the weekend will be colder with highs only in the 30s but more seasonal. A few flurries will be possible late in the evening as our next front swings in. It is lacking moisture but packing a punch of Arctic air behind it.
