Fire crews battle fire in Gettysburg; 9 displaced

GETTYSBURG, Pa- The Gettysburg Fire Department responded to a call for a working structure fire in the 100 block of Buford Avenue at 12:36 p.m. on Saturday.

The building houses several retail businesses on the ground floor and has apartments on the second story.

The fire began in one apartment and was contained there, with some damage to the second apartment, businesses below and to an adjacent property.

Two adults and two children live in the apartment where the fire began. Four adults and 1 child live in the second apartment.

No one was  injured in the fire, and all are being assisted by the Red Cross.
