Warning Map DMA - Winter

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for snow which is in effect from 7 pm Friday to 7 am Sunday.

Snow accumulations are expected to be 6 to 16 inches with the highest amounts likely near the Maryland border tapering off to the North.

Winds will be North 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Light snow will begin late Friday afternoon into the evening. The period of most intense snow will be later Friday evening into Saturday evening.

Snow ends late Saturday night.

Expect extremely dangerous travel conditions and significant blowing and drifting snow.

This Warning is an upgrade from the Winter Storm Watch that was issued on Wednesday.
