Coroner IDs victims in Southampton Township double fatal crash

SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–The Cumberland County Coroner has identified the victims of Thursday’s double fatal crash along Interstate 81 in Southampton Township.

Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall said Lucreecia D. Tayun, 32 and Adriana Palomino-Rocha, 38, both of Chambersburg, were killed in the crash between Exit 29 to Route 174/King Street and Exit 24 to Route 696/Fayette Street.

Both died died at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries, Hall said.

The women were heading north on I-81 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the southbound lanes. Their vehicle collided with a truck trailer that was hauling a semi-trailer, state police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
