Lititz woman dies in wrong-way crash on Route 272

PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa.–A 57-year-old Lititz woman died Thursday following a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster County on Jan. 9.

It happened along Route 272, just south of Byerland Church Road, in Providence Township shortly before 9:30 p.m.

State police say the unidentified woman was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes along Route 272 when she collided head-on with another vehicle.

The woman died Thursday from injuries she sustained in the crash.

The driver and occupants of the other vehicle were taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment, according to state police reports.
