LOTS OF CLOUDS, FEW STRAY SHOWERS
A weak and fast moving low pressure system will drag a cold front across the area late Tuesday evening. There may be a few showers but the system is pretty moisture starved. Overnight, our coldest temps and lows of the day will be just after midnight before they start to climb heading into the morning drive time. Lows will range from the upper teens to the low 20s but will rise by morning to the upper 20s.

Hour by Hour 5AM TO 9AM CSV

There is a small chance for patchy freezing drizzle mainly in our northwest counties. Anything we get would be brief. Also, an east-southeast flow increases the moisture across the area. There may be some patchy fog as temperatures hover briefly close to the dew point before rising. Clouds will thicken and a few stray showers will be possible in the afternoon. Despite the clouds, highs will reach the upper 30s to near 40 thanks to a more southerly flow.

PM Hour by Hour CSV

Winds pick up behind the front and become gusty for Wednesday. Ridge of high pressure brings a fairly quiet day for Wednesday. Morning lows will be above average in the low 30s but only move about 5 degrees under a northwest gusty wind. A trough slides in the area Thursday night and should help to keep an area of low pressure, which looks to develop along the southeastern seaboard, well to our east. We will deal with much colder temperatures once again Thursday and Friday morning.
WEEKEND WARM UP
Flow in the upper levels becomes zonal which brings milder air for the weekend. Near 40 degree temperatures will start the weekend with dry conditions and by Sunday, we’ll see highs in the mid 40s. Showers will move in late towards evening and overnight as our next front approaches. Showers will be possible early Monday, and temperatures will still be mild in the low 40s before falling back to more seasonable averages Tuesday.
