After some morning pockets of freezing rain to the west, temperatures spike to near 40 during the afternoon.

Once temperatures rise above freezing, a few spotty showers are possible Tuesday afternoon.

SLICK SPOTS: Our next system quickly approaches through the morning. Precipitation is coming in a bit earlier than anticipated, and with frigid temperatures once again, some isolated pockets of freezing rain are possible throughout the region, especially to the west. Temperatures warm quickly through thGFX5e day, so it’s all rain showers by mid to late morning. A few flakes could try to sneak in before the system exits, mainly at the higher elevations. Highs are in the middle to upper 30s.

MIDWEEK: Wednesday is a quiet day with mostly sunny skies. Afternoon temperatures are in the lower to middle 30s. Thursday skies are partly sunny, with highs near 30. Friday remains quiet for now, with readings in the lower to middle 30s.

WEEKEND: The weekend slowly moderates, so we’ll see more snowpack melting take place. Saturday brings partly sunny skies, with highs a bit above seasonal averages near 40 degrees. Some more sunshine sneaks in Sunday. Temperatures sneak up a bit more too, with highs hovering in the middle 40s. Our next system brings rain showers for Monday.

Have a great Tuesday!
