MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–An autopsy Wednesday revealed a 78-year-old Manchester Township man who was hit by a tractor-trailer along Interstate 83 Tuesday died of multiple blunt force trauma.
York County Coroner Pam gay identified the victim as Sotirios Drivas, 78 of Manchester Township. Drivas died from multiple blunt force trauma, and his death was ruled accidental, Gay said.
The accident happened Tuesday just after 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 25 along I-83 north. Drivas’ was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer after he got out of his vehicle to change a flat tire, authorities said.
I-83 north was closed for hours following the incident.
Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation.
