Clouds decrease through Wednesday.

Light afternoon breezes make the wind chill values feel like the 20s.

COOLER BUT QUIET: Some cloudiness starts Wednesday, but more sunshine is expected during the afternoon. Yesterday’s system slowly drifts east through the day, taking the clouds with it. Afternoon temperatures are in the middle 30s. Thursday skies are sunny to start, with some patchy morning fog possible. Otherwise, clouds build during the afternoon ahead of a weak disturbance. Afternoon highs are in the lower 30s. Friday remains quiet, with readings in the lower to middle 30s. Clouds decrease through the day as the wave exits.

Weekend Outlook

Milder temperatures are expected for the weekend.

WEEKEND WARMING: The weekend slowly moderates, so we’ll see more snowpack melting take place. Saturday brings partly sunny skies, with highs a bit above seasonal averages near 40 degrees. Some more sunshine sneaks in Sunday. Temperatures sneak up a bit more too, with highs hovering in the middle 40s.

NEXT WEEK: There are some timing questions for our next system early in the week. Either Monday or Tuesday, rain showers are in the forecast as it pushes through the region. Sunshine returns after the system exits.

Have a great Wednesday!
