CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. –  Upper Allen Township Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 82 year old Cumberland County man.

William A. Hersh was last seen leaving his neighborhood, in Upper Allen Township, at 9:15 pm Wednesday.  He was driving a light blue 2003 Dodge Caravan Sport with Pennsylvania Registration ETM9579. The Caravan is missing the left front wheel cover and there is a hole in the front bumper, on the left side front of the vehicle.

Leaving at that time of night is out of character for him. He has known heart issues and has been showing signs of dementia. His whereabouts at this time are unknown. Part of his life was spent in Dallas, Pennsylvania. It is unknown if he would try to return there or not. He does have family in Halifax, Camp Hill and the Mechanicsburg areas.

Hersh is a white male, 5’10” and weighs approximately 250 pounds. He is mostly bald but does have some closely cropped white hair. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve dress shirt and khaki type pants. He will most likely be wearing a gray and brown flat cap hat and a light brown coat with a dark brown collar.

If Hersh is located or you have information on his possible whereabouts, please contact the Upper Allen Police Department at (717) 795-2445 or (717) 238-9676.
