LANCASTER, Pa.–A Lancaster man was convicted Tuesday of selling heroin to a police informant in 2014, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office.

Donte Lamar Parker, 23, was found guilty of felony drug-dealing, conspiracy, and criminal use of a cellphone. Following the conviction, Judge David Ashworth raised Parker’s bail to $50,000, which wasn’t posted. Parker had been free on bail through the trial.

A witness testified that Parker twice sold baggies of heroin to an informant in mid-2014 on Lancaster city streets. An undercover police sergeant was present when the sales were made, prosecutors said.  The sting was conducted by Lancaster city police’s Selective Enforcement Unit.

Parker used his cellphone to arrange the sales and meeting places with the informant. The informant knew Parker as “Heart.”

Another officer doing surveillance noticed Parker walked with a limp during the sales. A check of the cellphone used in the sales was traced to Parker.

Parker is expected to be sentenced at a later date.
