UPDATE: The District Attorney’s Office has released the name of the victim. Omaly Flores, 20, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the hospital Saturday night.

LANCASTER, Pa.– A Lancaster man has died, after being shot in the head. It happened around 7:00 Saturday night. Police say they were dispatched to Lancaster General Hospital for a report of a shooting victim who had been taken to the emergency room in a private vehicle.

The male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital.  Officers were then directed to the 300-block of South Lime Street, where the crime was believed to have occurred.

The victim has been identified as a 20-year old Lancaster man, but his name is being withheld while investigators attempt to locate next of kin.  Investigators are processing the crime scene for evidence and are interviewing witnesses.
