WEST MANCHESTER TWP., Pa.– A Winter Volksmarch and swim was held on Saturday, stepping off from The Athletic Club of York in West Manchester Township, York County.
The gym hosted the White Rose Wanderers, a group of walkers who could choose either a 5K or a 10K trek through the township. The group holds outdoor walks and hikes all year-long as a way to stay in shape and keep in touch.
Louise Clouser, who is a member of the White Rose Wanderers says, “It’s the people you walk with and the places you go, you know when you’ve done at least one in all 50-states and a number of provinces in Canada, you just keep going.”
The Volksmarch and swim is being held Sunday as well. Upcoming events will be held on the Heritage Rail Trail and at John Rudy County Park.
