HARRISBURG, Pa. - About 55 percent of people who watch the Super Bowl do so for the commercials according to statistics. A spot for Super Bowl 50 will cost a company $5 million.  This year, people did not have to wait for the game to see the commercials. About 70 percent of companies put their spots online early.

"In 1967 the first spot was $42,000 now, it is $5 million so people want to get their money's worth," said Michael Pavone of Pavone Advertising and Public Relations in Harrisburg.

Thirteen years ago Pavone started spotbowl.com. The site allows people to vote for their favorite commercials. People in all 50 states use the site.

"At the end of the day who cares what the experts think? It's all about the consumer and it lets people take part in it," said Pavone.

People have until 1:00pm Monday to cast their votes. The results are released on a multi-media platform.
