Man wanted for assault of pregnant woman in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Dauphin County Criminal Investigation Division is looking for a man they say assaulted a pregnant woman. Devon A. Jackson, 30, is accused of physically assaulting a woman on February 1st. Police say Jackson grabbed the victim by her neck in an attempt to strangle her and punched her in the head with a closed fist.  While Jackson was assaulting the victim, he made verbal threats that he was going to kill her.  A friend of the victim witnessed the assault and attempted to stop it, but the friend was subsequently assaulted by Jackson as well.  When the victim attempted to call the police, Jackson took her cell phone preventing her from doing so.

Jackson is wanted on charges of Aggravated Assault of an Unborn Child, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats and Theft.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jackson is urged to submit a tip to Crime Stoppers via this website or by calling 1-800-262-3080.  Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
