YORK, Pa. – Two juveniles were taken into custody Thursday afternoon after a student at Ferguson K-8 School reported seeing a student with a handgun.

District and City Police were notified and the school placed on the lockdown at about 3:35 pm.  Students, who are normally dismissed at 3:45 pm were held while the building was searched. The lockdown was lifted at 4:25 pm.

Police eventually located the juveniles in possession of a BB gun at what was described by the school district as an “off-site location”.

The investigation into the incident continues.
