Police seek ‘suspicious’ man who approached 8-year-old girl in Lebanon

LEBANON, Pa.–Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a “suspicious” man who approached an 8-year-old girl in Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon.

Lebanon City Police received a call about a suspicious person and vehicle at 3:30 p.m., after the man started talking to the girl, as she was walking home from school to meet her mother. The girl had just left Northwest Elementary at 9th and Maple Streets when she was approached by the man, according to police reports.

The girl told investigators the man said “come to my car and smell it.” The girl ran from the man towards a group of school staff to get help. When she looked back, the man was leaving in his vehicle.

The suspect is only described as a white male, no description of the vehicle was available.
