DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - When your car needs repair, you'd like it done correctly and quickly. That's exactly what high school students were doing on Thursday at the 16th Annual Pennsylvania Auto Associations Automotive Competition at the Auto Museum of Hershey.

Ten teams of two students from schools across the commonwealth had to diagnose and repair various mechanical problems with cars. Organizers say the automotive industry is filled with great job opportunities for students.

"There [are] too many people coming out of four-year degrees with a lot of debt and have no prospects for a job,"  Pennsylvania Automotive Association President, John Devlin said. "These jobs are everywhere. And if you trail it out 20 years, these people are going to be in more demand than ever."

The top three teams won scholarship money ranging from $500 to $1,000. The first place team will advance to the National Auto Competition in New York City. The team sent from Pennsylvania last year won the national competition.
