Officers were called to Walgreen’s on S. Queen St. in York Township following an armed robbery on Sunday evening.

Around 9 p.m. , a male entered the store and demanded that the cashier put Newport cigarettes in a bag. As the suspect began to remove the bag, the cashier reached out in an attempt to stop the man. However, upon that attempt the man flashed a handgun to the cashier and left the store.

The suspect is described as a black male in his forties and was wearing blue jeans, a tan Carhart jacket, and a black baseball cap that read “Sox.” The suspect’s car is described as possibly being a silver SUV with a Maryland registration. Similar crimes have been committed in the area by a suspect with a similar physical and vehicle description.
