SWATARA TWP., Dauphin County, Pa. — Police charge an Aspers man after they say he lied on an ATF form while attempting to purchase a firearm at the Bass Pro Shops on Eisenhower Boulevard. Police say Travis Witherow, 31, answered “No” on the form where it asked “Have you ever been convicted in any court of a felony, or any other crime, in which the judge could imprison you for more than one year, even if you received a shorter sentence including probation?” Police say Witherow was convicted of a misdemeanor in 2009 which could have led to more than one year in prison. He has been charged with Unsworn Falsification to Authorities.
