Lebanon County school worker charged with sexual assault

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. – Lebanon County Police have filed charges against a middle school worker for sexually assaulting two students inside a classroom.

According to Lebanon police, 31-year-old Jonathan Michael Kantner, of Newmanstown, was charged with institutional sexual assault of a minor corruption of minors related to sexual offenses and indecent assault of a person under age 13.

Officials said Kantner sexually assaulted the two girls Jan. 13 at Lebanon Middle School.

Court documents state that one of the girls reported Kantner sat down next to her in a classroom and allegedly began touching the bottom of her buttocks. A second girl reported Kantner was next to her in a classroom, asked her about an item on her desk and then placed his hand on the girl’s shoulder and touched her breast, court paperwork stated.

Both incidents were reported to school officials.

Kantner is no longer with the Lebanon School District.
