On Saturday at Giant Center, two local teams were searching for a district championship. Only one came home with the title.

In Quad A boys, Central York lost to Reading 65-54. They were down by 13 points at the break but couldn't overtake the Red Knights in the 2nd half. The Panthers were making their first trip to the title game since 1984 and they will start their state playoff run next week.

In Triple A girls, Lancaster Catholic won the district championship over the #1 seed, Berks Catholic, 38-27. The Crusaders win their 13th district title and their first one since 2012. They are 28-1 on the year and start the state playoffs next week.
