Lancaster County home is a total loss after catching on fire.

WEST HEMPFIELD TWP., Pa. – Wind made it difficult for firefighters to battle a house fire in Lancaster County.

Flames broke out shortly after 11:00 P.M. on Tuesday, at a home on the 200 block of Prospect Road in West Hempfield Township.

Crews arrived to the home and saw flames shooting from the roof.

Officials say the homeowners were home at the time of the fire, but no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters say wind caused the fire to grow larger and larger, but they eventually got it under control.

The fire caused at least $75,000 in damages to the home.
