YORK, Pa.– Rutter’s is continuing its expansion north by opening its second store in 2016. Its 63rd store will be located in Mifflintown, Juniata County and open in Summer 2016.

The new store will be located right off the Port Royal exit, making it easily accessible for large trucks and heavy volumes of traffic. The store will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offer Rutter’s award winning food around the clock. The dining area will have room to comfortably seat more than 30 guests, and offer free Wi-Fi throughout the store. The Port Royal location will also feature Rutter’s espresso bar and beverage center that serves hand-crafted beverages such as fruit smoothies, Red Bull smoothies, frappes, and lattes.

“Branching out to surrounding counties is always an exciting time for Rutter’s. The Port Royal location will serve as an easy access point for travelers and professional drivers along U.S. 322. This store has been designed around our latest store concept. It will not be a truck stop, but offer more than a convenience store, and provide better food quality than Quick Service Restaurants.” Said Derek Gaskins, Rutter’s Chief Customer Officer.

With roots dating back to 1747, Rutter’s 269 year history makes it the oldest vertically-integrated food company in the United States. Rutter’s is also widely recognized as an industry leader in food service, innovative technology, and customer service. In fact, Rutter’s recently received the 2014 International Convenience Retailer of the Year award given by NACS and Insight. Rutter’s is currently led by Scott Hartman as president and CEO, Todd Rutter as president of Rutter’s Dairy, and Tim Rutter as president of M&G Realty.
