EAST COCALICO TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A 22-year-old woman is listed in stable condition at a Philadelphia hospital after being shot while she was inside a East Cocalico Township home on Sunday afternoon.

Jamie Horning, 22, was inside a home along the 500 block of Reinholds Road when she was struck in the neck around 3 p.m. Horning was taken to Reading Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Philadelphia.

Police discovered the round was fired by a member of a group of target shooters who were in the 800 block of South Ridge Road, which runs parallel to the home.  The group has been cooperating with police.

Authorities collected weapons, ammunition and other physical evidence from the scene.

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s office is assisting the East Cocalico Township Police Department in their investigation.
