MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A York man plead guilty Wednesday to first-degree and third-degree murder for killing his pregnant girlfriend in March 2012, according to the York County District Attorney’s office.

Wilkins Marte-Escano, 32, plead guilty to killing 24-year-old Olga Vascones-Garcia and their baby at the Super 8 in Manchester Township on March 29, 2012.  Vascones-Garcia was 19 weeks pregnant when she was stabbed to death in the lobby of the motel.

The couple’s daughter, who was 5-years-old at the time,  witnessed the entire ordeal, police said.

A motel surveillance camera recorded part of the grisly encounter.

Judge Michael E. Bortner sentenced him Wednesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
