According to Fox 17, a 7-year-old border collie has become the subject of a viral video on the Internet because of the job he performs at the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City.
His name is Piper, and he has been a hit on Reddit and on media websites around the country. Piper’s job at the airport is chasing birds off the runways, primarily geese, ducks and owls, and he officially started working at the airport in January 2015.
Thus far, he’s being called the “coolest dog ever” after a photo of him wearing goggles in front of a Coast Guard helicopter went viral this winter. Four million people have already viewed the video of Piper performing his duties.
