Middletown man accused of making excessive calls to 911

SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A man is facing charges after police say he called 911 in Dauphin County more than 300 times between January and February of 2016.

Authorities charged 29-year-old Joshua C. Smith, of Middletown, with making false alarms to agencies of public safety and harassment.

Police say Smith had no legitimate purpose for excessively calling 911.
