MOUNT JOY, Pa.–An Elizabethtown man will serve up to five years in prison after he was arrested four times for driving while under the influence within a three-month time span in 2015.

Dallas L. Unangst, 23, recently plead guilty in Lancaster County Court to four separate DUI charges. Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker ordered a 1-to-5-year state-prison term. He was charged between April 30 and July 19.

Northwest Regional police charged him twice in just three hours in Mount Joy Township, on June 4 and June 5.

Police arrested him just before midnight, after a stop in the 1200 block of South Market Street. His blood-alcohol level was .176 percent, more than twice Pennsylvania’s legal limit for drivers, prosecutors said.

During the early morning hours of June 5, police noticed Unangst’s vehicle pull into a McDonald’s in the 1900 block of South Market Street. Officers pulled up to the drive-thru window and recognized Unangst as the driver.

Unangst told police he was hungry and thought he had sobered up since the first arrest.

On July 19, Manheim Township police charged him for being drunk and under the influence of prescription pills when he was found passed out at the wheel of his vehicle at Taco Bell on Columbia Avenue.

His first DUI offense was filed on April 30 in Mount Joy Township.
