HARRISBURG, Pa. – Commuter traffic is back up for miles in both directions on Interstate 83 due to an accident involving multiple vehicles near at exit 44B at 19th Street in Harrisburg. The accident happened in the northbound lanes. PennDOT reports the road shoulder is closed and that traffic is stop and go in the northbound lanes.
Northbound traffic is backed up into Cumberland County. Southbound is moving slowly starting at the Route 283 split. There are no reports of injuries.
