A Mechanicsburg man has been arrested for theft and fraud.

Stephen L. Sabotchick, 54, is accused of stealing a person’s identity, using a debit card to make unauthorized purchases at various locations and stealing approximately $10,000 of gold and silver items from a residence.

Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the first block of Keefer Way for a nonactive theft complaint on Friday, Feb. 5. The information provided by the victims helped to identify Sabotchick as the suspect.

Police got an arrest warrant for Sabotchick and on Feb. 27, he was arrested at a local drinking establishment. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 14.
