YORK COUNTY, Pa. – A routine traffic stop leads to the arrest of a York City man on drug charges after 91 packets of heroin fell out of his pockets.

Jeffrey E. Johnson, 34, was stopped by  Southwestern Regional Officer at about 8:30 pm last Monday for a traffic infraction in North Codorus Township in the area of Lehman Road and Stoverstown Road.
When Johnson rolled down his window for the officer, the officer observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When Johnson stepped out of the vehicle, the packets of heroin spilled from his pockets. He was immediately taken into custody.  Police also found a large amount of cash on Johnson. The money was seized by police as evidence.

Charges against Johnson include Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Following arraignment he was released after posting $25,000 bail.
