LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Six people are injured, two critically in a chain reaction crash Friday morning involving three vehicles in Strasburg Township. It happened at 8:12 am on Beaver Valley Pike near Brenneman Road.

State police say a northbound black Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Brittany Wood, 27, of Oxford, Chester County, reared ended a green Chevrolet Blazer driven by Samuel Peltz, 25, of Lancaster. Wood’s can then veered into the oncoming southbound lanes and struck a white BMW 325xi, driven by Jacklyn Moretti, 33, of Lancaster. The Lancer continued and struck a tree coming to rest after traveling about 200 to 250 feet after the initial impact with Peltz’s SUV.

Wood and three passengers in her car suffered injuries. Betty Wood, 50, of Oxford, who like Wood, was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered moderate injuries,  Two children in the car were also injured, one seriously.  That child was flown Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Everyone else in Wood’s car were transported to Lancaster General Hospital.

Peltz, who wore a seatbelt was not injured; his passenger Dalton Farrow, 21, of New Providence, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered a minor injury. Moretti, in the BMW, also suffered a minor injury.

The crash is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
